DIY Baby Wipes

Making my baby wipes myself has become my most frequently made DIY. It takes about 5 mins and is well worth the few mins of effort for super clean wipes. I thought at first that I would have purchased wipes for the car...that didn't last long, it was easier to throw some in a smaller box than remember to get them at the grocery store so I now only use the wipes we make at home.

If you are going to be putting essential oils on your skin, please ensure that they are recommended for topical use. I only use and recommend doTERRA as I can be sure that they are 100% pure, contain no contamination or adulteration and are suitable for topical use for me and the kids (diluted for the kids).

You will need;

  • A roll of good quality paper towel. I use Viva Paper towel.

  • 1 tablespoon of liquid (or fractionated) coconut oil. The liquid coconut oil in the image is available in the supermarket.

  • 3 drops of doTERRA Lavender.

  • 3 drops of doTERRA Tea Tree.

  • 300-500ml of water.

  1. Cut the paper towel roll in half cut in half. Either by using a knife or pulling all of the sheets off and cutting them in half using scissors in big piles as large as he scissors will take.

  2. In a bowl, mix the oils together.

  3. Add 300ml of water.

  4. Put the paper towel side up into the container that you will be storing the wipes in, pour the water/oil mix over the paper towel. If they are still a little dry add more water 50-100ml at a time.

You will have wipes that contain nothing but goodness. The oils are cleansing, calming and soothing...all good things for little bums.
